Dirty Laundry

Two brothers, in their 50s, got into a heated dispute in their Des Moines home.  Jerome Davis initially made and consumed three sandwiches and then made three more within the next hour. Six sandwiches in such a short period of time angered his brother, who confronted Davis about his over-eating.  Davis then allegedly pulled out a folding knife and held it to his brother’s face, threatening to cut him because he wouldn’t “shut the [expletive] up and mind his own business.”  Davis was charged with assault domestic abuse with a weapon and jailed.

Body parts fell from the sky in Saudi Arabia yesterday, and no, this is not the plot of a horror movie. A witness in Jeddah reported the falling remains to police and officials think they could be what are left of someone who got trapped in an airplane’s wheel bay. People are known to climb inside the landing gear bays in an attempt to cross the border, but most end up freezing to death. There are notes that a Saudi plane made an emergency landing early yesterday after the cockpit reported a problem with the rear wheel, but it’s not clear if the incidents are connected.

washing machineEmergency services were called to a house on Helmer Street. Where a 20-year-old man required assistance…after being trapped in a washing machine during a game of hide and seek and he was naked. It took police, firefighters, paramedics and Search and Rescue a little while to figure out the best way to free the 20-year old. Rescuers eventually they decided that olive oil might do the trick. He was transferred to Goulburn Valley hospital for observation. Interestingly, he’s not the only person to get stuck in a washing machine while playing hide-and-seek. An 11-year-old recently found herself in a similar situation and the story quickly went viral. Fortunately for her, she was clothed.
