Dietary supplements. We hear about them all the time. The “miracle” diet pill where you magically lose tons of weight just by taking one a day. Yeah, sure. Believe it or not, there are a lot of people that will buy into these “wonder pills” and waste a ton of money. Why? Because they forget to tell you in that microscopic writing at the bottom of the bottle that they only work with a regular exercise program. Now if you’ve been able to lose weight and not ever step into the gym with one of these types of supplements, you better look very carefully into what is in them because chances are they could be very harmful to your body. In talking with Nutrition expert and owner/operator of BYN Nutrition, Erik Hillary, he gave me some great information about dietary supplements and simply said, “Kelly, dietary supplements don’t work unless you do”. No wonder pill is going to take off pounds overnight without an exercise program to substantiate it. Even 30 minutes a day 3 to 4 times a week is a great place to start. So before you dive into that bottle of “Fat B Gone”, consult with your physician or a nutrition expert to find out what exactly it is you’re putting into your body. Remember, our supplements and diets only work as hard as we do.
