Face­book helps catch a crim­i­nal! - A New Mex­ico man is fac­ing bur­glary charges. The crim­i­nal com­plaint says a fam­ily inter­rupted the bur­glary when they came home and found Oscar Mar­tinez, who fired six shots from a BB gun at them as he fled.  He is fac­ing charges includ­ing aggra­vated bur­glary with a deadly weapon and vio­la­tion of his parole. Author­i­ties say he left behind his cell phone which was open and linked to his Face­book profile.  

Face­book helps catch a crim­i­nal, again! -Henry Police Maj. Jason Bolton says a woman’s cell phone was taken from her car. “The sus­pect appar­ently took a pic­ture of him­self on the victim’s phone, and due to her set­tings, it auto­mat­i­cally uploaded to her Face­book page,“Boltonsaid.Boltonsaid inves­ti­ga­tors are now work­ing to iden­tify the sus­pect, who is believed to have been dri­ving a black Toy­ota RAV 4 with tinted windows.

Shoulda called a cab - Don­ald Gart­ner was ini­tially hauled in by cops respond­ing to neigh­bors’ com­plaints that he’d been bang­ing on their doors and uri­nat­ing in at least one front yard. When nabbed, he admit­ted to being slightly ine­bri­ated — thanks to down­ing six beers and six oxy­codone tablets.  But when he was let go, he headed out the jail doors and imme­di­ately bee lined for two parked cars – most impor­tantly, they were cop cars– and tried to break in. Gart­ner was taken into cus­tody again, this time with­out the option of bail.
