Facebook helps catch a criminal! – A New Mexico man is facing burglary charges. The criminal complaint says a family interrupted the burglary when they came home and found Oscar Martinez, who fired six shots from a BB gun at them as he fled. He is facing charges including aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon and violation of his parole. Authorities say he left behind his cell phone which was open and linked to his Facebook profile.

Jason Bolton says a woman’s cell phone was taken from her car. “The suspect apparently took a picture of himself on the victim’s phone, and due to her settings, it automatically uploaded to her Facebook page,”Boltonsaid.Boltonsaid investigators are now working to identify the suspect, who is believed to have been driving a black Toyota RAV 4 with tinted windows.
Shoulda called a cab – Donald Gartner was initially hauled in by cops responding to neighbors’ complaints that he’d been banging on their doors and urinating in at least one front yard. When nabbed, he admitted to being slightly inebriated — thanks to downing six beers and six oxycodone tablets. But when he was let go, he headed out the jail doors and immediately bee lined for two parked cars – most importantly, they were cop cars– and tried to break in. Gartner was taken into custody again, this time without the option of bail.
