Good deed leads to arrest

When her cellmate asks, “How’d you get arrested?” Florida’s Christina Hines, 30, has good reason to Christina hineseither laugh or cry. As WKMG reports, it all started when she accidentally left a $50 bill behind at a gas station. The clerk ran outside after her but was too late. A sheriff’s deputy noticed the commotion, found out what happened, and decided to play Good Samaritan by catching up with Hines to return the cash. Thinking she was being pursued for other reasons, Hines led deputies on a high-speed chase that ended only with the help of tire-flattening spikes placed on the road. Deputies found heroin and hypodermic needles in Hines’ car, and it didn’t help that she was driving on a suspended license. It’s unclear whether she ever got the 50 bucks back

A British burglar made it easy for cops to find him after a failed hotel heist — because he had to call them to rescue him when he fell from the building’s roof and broke his leg!  The bone-headed crook, whose name was not released, plunged nearly 40 feet off the top of a hotel in Gloucester [pr: GLOS-ter] while trying to swipe copper wire and piping to sell for scrap. The mis-step resulted in him fracturing his leg and pelvis, making it impossible for him to make a run for it.A local politician said he was sorry the man had been injured, but pointed out, “He shouldn’t have been on the roof in the first place.”

A Nebraska 3-year-old who escaped from his mother’s Lincoln apartment was discovered at a nearby bowling alley, but he wasn’t interested in rolling 10 frames. Kael Ireland was found inside the “Bear Claw” machine at Madsen’s Bowling & Billiards after he somehow wandered into the establishment and crawled up the game’s prize slot so he could play with the toys inside. A patron informed bartender Rachell Hildreth about the toddler’s presence and a worker from the company that owns the machine was called to let him out. “He was just having a heyday, I don’t think he wanted to get out.”
