The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said Gary Bakken, 52, who was on parole for failing to register as a sex offender, removed his GPS ankle monitor and his whereabouts were unknown until a man discovered him inside his Highland home taking a shower. Investigators said Bakken walked into the unlocked home andarranged his belongings in a bedroom and took a shower before being discovered by the male resident. The sheriff’s department said Bakken told deputies he thought the home belonged to a relative. Bakken was arrested on suspicion of being a sex offender out of compliance with his parole and illegally entering a dwelling.

A Japanese man’s unusual way of meeting women has landed him in trouble with authorities. Asian news website, RocketNews24, claims Harada declared “It’s true, I did it” when asked if there was any truth to the claims that he slashed tires in order to talk to women. Prosecutors claimed that when the women returned to their cars, Harada would arrive on the scene, saying “Looks like you’ve got a flat. Let me fix it for you.” While changing the tire he would strike up a conversation with the women and exchange phone numbers with them. Police launched an investigation after one woman told a friend about how she got a flat tire and a man offered to change it. The friend then exclaimed that the same thing had happened to her. Officials claim Yoshihito Harada, 25, may have punctured the tires of around 1000 parked cars driven by women as way of starting conversations with them. Did he get 1000 dates? We doubt it.
