Ronald Perley allegedly went into Bellman’s Jewelers asking about engagement rings. Surveillance footage shows Perley taking the ring and putting his hand to his mouth. Authorities charged Perley with theft and falsifying physical evidence after they say X-rays showed the 14-karat white-gold ring with princess-cut diamonds inside him. A happy ending for police (not so much for the intended fiancé), they got the $3,200 ring back.
A Welsh woman has pledged retribution against a neighbor who used a foam cannon to fill her garden with bubbles while she was shopping. McElroy said Brennand’s prank was revenge for the time she filled his garden with a zoo’s worth of stuffed animals while he was away on vacation. McElroy laughed off the prank.“I thought I’d left my washing machine on until I heard giggling. But I’ll get him back,” McElroy said.
A bank robber in Florida said to be in his late 40s, entered a bank branch with his gun already drawn and demanded money from one employee. The man behind the counter reportedly started handing over the money right away. He was doing it so fast as a matter of fact that the pace got to be too much for the robber and he had to put his gun down in order to keep up! The teller grabbed the gun “without hesitation” and pointed it towards the robber. Police say the would be thief ran and was seen heading north on a light-colored bicycle.
