A 43-year-old man, whose name was not released, was picked up on an outstanding theft warrant and taken in for processing at a local precinct. Not long after he left, the corrections officer who’d handled the bust noticed his handcuffs were missing and grew suspicious –suspicions that were confirmed when he got a call from a pawn shop worker informing him that a man had come in attempting to get some cash for the cuffs. He was re-arrested the same day on a charge of trafficking in stolen property
Charles Maurice Talbert called cops to say that a woman, whose name was not released, escalated a fight over the purchase of groceries by punching him in the chest, then unstrapping her leg and hitting him with that. She blamed Talbert for the fight, saying he was “harassing” her and she couldn’t help but leap from her wheelchair to hit him.
A Florida man was arrested last week for driving without a license — as he motored away from a courthouse where he was answering a first round of charges over driving without a license. Timothy Paul Shelby was actually busted by the exact same officer who’d booked him the first time — and who couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the 53-year-old leaving the scene behind the wheel.
