A Massachusetts man, a Brazilian immigrant who asked for his name not to be printed, said he visits the Wellesley dump about twice a week to search for magazines to turn into art, and during a visit last month he found a book with $20,000 to $30,000 pressed between its pages! The man said he is trying to find the rightful owner of the cash and has pledged to search for six months before deciding whether to keep the money.

Eyewitnesses in Deleware called police after they saw Jose Santiago shouting obscenities at cars while in the middle of the road, and when the officers arrived to question him, they found he had outstanding warrants and hauled him in. While at the station, they did a quick search and found that Santiago had about two grams of crack and three grams of pot hidden inside his prosthetic limb.

Terry Smith flagged down a cab and told the cabbie he’d like to sit in the front seat because he wasn’t feeling well. The two made conversation, but when they arrived at the destination, Smith made a grab for the driver’s cell phone and wallet, neither of which he managed to snag. Angered, he punched the driver and fled and he would have gotten away with it too if he hadn’t left his own wallet and ID behind. Cops went to the address on the ID and found Smith, taking him into custody
