GPSThere are wacky GPS mistakes and then there are tragic ones. WSBTV reports that Rodrigo Abad Diaz, was driving three passengers to a friend’s house, where they were to pick up a girl before going ice skating. Friends say the GPS sent Diaz to the home of Phillip Walker Sailors. As they waited in the driveway, the 69-year-old came out of the house, went back in, then returned, toting a handgun, which he fired into the air. They quickly tried to leave, but Sailors fired at the car, hitting Diaz on the left side of his head, and then trained his gun on the passengers, holding the three high
school students until police arrived. He assumed it was a home invasion and he maintains his innocence.

Authorities in Italy say a couple are accused of riding around on a scooter and robbing pedestrians. Naples police said Massimo Pesce and Paola Caldieri were identified by a 70-year-old man who said the couple snatched his iPhone while riding by on their scooter with the 4-year-old son in tow!  Police said it was not the first time the couple had brought their son along for scooter-trip thefts.  The parents were arrested and the boy was released into the custody of his grandmother.
Officers were called to a house Saturday morning. Residents had reported that two people, one of them armed with a handgun, forced their way inside the house and stole two of their beloved hookah pipes.  Officers questioning the residents noticed marijuana, paraphernalia and several bottles of fertilizer lying around. Then they saw light shining from under a door barred with a padlock and a power cord snaking into the room. After getting a search warrant, police say they found three marijuana plants, grow lights and other equipment.  Police arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of manufacturing marijuana and ticketed his roommates for having marijuana paraphernalia.
