K-BEAR 101 Rockstar Jetaway to Rock on the Range!

1. Dates/Eligibility.

(a) The Contest begins April 02, 2012 and ends April 20, 2012. KCVI – “KBEAR” (the “Station”) may change the dates or terms of the Contest, including canceling the Contest, without prior notice. Any material changes will be broadcast on the Station and posted online at www.KBEAR.fm (the “Site”). The Contest is open to all legal U.S. residents 21 years of age or older at the time of entry and physically residing in Idaho. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase a contestant’s chance of winning. The Contest is void where prohibited by law.

(b) The following persons are ineligible to participate in the Contest:

(i) Employees or agents of the Station, Riverbend Communications, LLC or any entity associated with the sponsorship or administration of the Contest (collectively, the “Sponsors”), as well as any member of the same household as the employee or agent;

(ii) Any member of a Local Band (as defined below), as well as any member of the same household as a member of a Local Band; and

(iii) Employees or agents of any radio or television station that transmits a signal for reception anywhere within Idaho, as well as any member of the same household of the employee or agent.

(c) Persons who have previously won a prize (cash, services or merchandise) in a contest or event conducted or sponsored by any station operated by Riverbend Communications, LLC (KLCE, KCVI, KFTZ, KTHK, KBLI and KBLY) are subject to the following restrictions, which also apply to members of the same household as the prior winner:

(i) Persons who have won a prize valued up to $100 during the 30-day period immediately prior to the start of the Contest are ineligible to participate;

(ii) Persons who have won a prize valued between $101 and $499 during the 90-day period immediately prior to the start of the Contest are ineligible to participate;

(iii) Persons who have won a prize valued between $500 and $999 during the 180-day period immediately prior to the start of the Contest are ineligible to participate; and

(iv) Persons who have won a prize valued at $1,000 or more during the 1-year period immediately prior to the start of the Contest are ineligible to participate.

2. How to Enter.

(a) Listeners will be asked to call 208- 535-1015 to play College of Rock Knowledge with Piper Phynnie weekdays April 2^nd, 2012 – April 19^th, 2012 at 8:20am. Listener must be caller 7.

3. Selection of Winner.

(a) 2 persons will play against each other. Both will be asked the same 3 trivia questions at the same time. The 1^st to “ring” in will be allowed to answer. If they are correct 2 out of 3 times they will advance to the 2^nd round happening the following day. Friday is the final day for that week except the 3^rd week which will end on Thursday. The weeks’ winners will be moved into the final round that will happen in person, at Kbear studios on April 20^th, 2012. This final round will have 1 winner per week, 3 competitors total. The winner of this final round will win the main prize. Final week winners ARE NOT eligible to play another week.

(b) The final 3 participants MUST be able to be in studio on April 20^th, 2012 at 8am MST for at least 1 hour.

4. Prize.

1. A prize provided by Rockstar Energy Drink will be awarded the daily “loser” of College of Rock Knowledge each weekday as a thank you. The winner of the final round will get two (2) roundtrip tickets (vouchers) to Columbus, Ohio for the weekend of May 18, 19^th and 20^th, 2012 to Rock on the Range. Plus one (1) room (for 2) accommodations during this time. Winner will receive 6 tickets admission to Rock on the Range. This includes two (2) VIP passes to the Friday Night 4Play, one (1) admission per guest (2) for Saturday and Sunday’s concerts. Winner will also receive and a chance to meet Lou Brutus of Harddrive.

2. The two (2) contestants that “lose” the final competition on April 20^th, 2012 will each receive one (1) gift card to Atlas Tattoo in Idaho Falls in the total of $200.00.

3. The Station reserves the right to substitute any component of the prize with a component of comparable value should the original component be unavailable, regardless of reason. The prize is not transferable, subject to substitution by the contestant or redeemable for cash. The winner is responsible for all taxes, including, without limitation, federal, state and local taxes, and any other costs or expenses associated with the acceptance and use of the prize.

4. Winner will be required to complete an IRS Form W-9 and will receive an IRS Form 1099-Misc. for the retail value of the prize.

5. Conditions/Restrictions.

(a) OTHER THAN THE CHANCE TO WIN THE PRIZE DESCRIBED IN THESE RULES, CONTESTANTS WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY COMPENSATION AS A RESULT OF THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST. IN EXCHANGE FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST, EACH CONTESTANT ASSIGNS TO THE STATION ANY AND ALL RIGHTS OF WHATEVER KIND OR NATURE, TANGIBLE OR INTANGIBLE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ALL INTELLECTUAL PROPETY RIGHTS, IN AND TO THE VIDEO SUBMITTED BY THE CONTESTANT. THE STATION MAY EXPLOIT EACH VIDEO IN ANY MANNER DESIRED THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE IN PERPETUITY WITH NO COMPENSATION WHATSOEVER TO THE CONTESTANT.

(b) In exchange for the right to participate in the Contest, each contestant releases and agrees to indemnify each of the Sponsors, and the officers, directors, agents, parent companies, subsidiaries and employees of each of the Sponsors, for, from and against any and all claims, demands or causes of action of any nature or kind whatsoever, whether presently known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that arise out of the contestant’s participation in the Contest. Entry into the Contest constitutes permission for each Sponsor and its respective designees to use the name, likeness, portrait, voice, biographical material and Video of each contestant for an unlimited period of time in order to advertise, promote or publicize the Sponsor, the products and services of any of its designees or both. The winner will be required to produce identification satisfactory to the Station and sign an affidavit of eligibility and release (including a publicity release) as prepared by the Station. Anyone using fraudulent means to participate in or win the Contest will be subject to disqualification. The Sponsors are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone or other transmission failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, regardless of cause. The Station reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug or other problem beyond the control of the Station corrupt the administration, security or proper execution of the Contest.

6. Rules. Copies of these rules are free and available at the Site, at the studios of the Station, 400 West Sunnyside Road, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402, during regular business hours or by sending a request, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, to the Station at this address.
